Kicking Ass During The Great War
The really need to get this one right. That’s all I keep thinking about whenever news for DC’s Wonder Woman drops. This is the same studio that somehow botched what should have been one of the biggest home runs in superhero movie history. With a trainwreck for a lead in, Wonder Woman has some serious odds stacked against it. Luckily, this movie looks like it’s set to kick all kinds of ass. Time To Get xXxTreme (Again)
No one has simultaneously missed their time and completely capitalized on it quite like Vin Diesel. Poised to be the next big action star in the early aughts, he was quite the figure at the box office, but his franchises never quite took off as he planned. Well, his profile has seen something of an ironic resurgence, leading to some of his best work. So why not go back to the well with what was supposed to be be our generations James Bond, well, until we realized Matt Damon was really our Bond. xXx: Return of Xander Cage has Vin Diesel surrounded by action stars and situations he’s absolutely daring us not to find ridiculous. I’m Sure There Are Safer Places To Stand
Hey, angry fogie! Like it or not, your childhood will be pilfered for everything it’s worth in order to repackage, rebrand and reboot for movies and series nowadays. Now let’s ignore that most of the things that are being “rebooted” that you claim to be “ruining” your childhood, haven’t really gone anywhere. I’m looking at you angry TMNT fan that hasn’t watched the new series’ (which is pretty good btw) or equally disgruntled Power Ranger Dad that tapped out sometime around Zeo, when you noticed girls noticing you. The Power Rangers movie is set to drop March 2017, and the promotion machine should be kicking into gear soon, and just in time for NYCC, here are some new character posters that show off just a glimpse of the zords. Why The Hell Would You Get On A Plane?
*BAD PUN ALERT*
Looks like Hollywood is going to take another dip….into the well. I’ll see myself out, but not before I tell you about the newly released trailer for Rings, another sequel to the hit American remake The Ring. Were you waiting on pins and needles for this one? No? Too bad, you’re getting a sequel anyway. Continue reading Your Goopy Hair Fetish Will Be Rekindled Due To The Rings Trailer
A Story About War, Among The Stars
If we’re getting a smaller, ancillary Star Wars movie in between the larger, proper films, I like the approach being taken so far. The first of the Star Wars Stories to be released will be Rogue One, a tale of a small rebellion group out to steal the blueprints of the still under construction Death Star. Yes, a prequel, and no, it doesn’t appear to have Jar Jar. Continue reading New Rogue One Trailer Drops During Olympics, And It Is Glorious
Not His Daddies Trek
The Abrams Star Trek films have been hit or miss with me. I enjoyed the first for what it was, but Into Darkness relied way too heavily on the “mystery box” that production company Bad Robot has come to be known for. The first trailer for Star Trek Beyond was met with mixed enthusiasm. While people were excited for a new Trek flick, this one co-written by Simon Pegg and directed by Justin Lin showcased a more action oriented adventure than the last two outings. And while “real” fans thought it was too much, too unlike the old-school Trek they loved. Now, with this trailer, it appears to be the most faithful Trek of the recent outings.

I Am A God
When in doubt, go with pedigree. At least that’s what I got from the first official trailer for the Assassin’s Creed movie. The film adaptation of the ridiculously popular game franchise looks like it could easily be another entry in the series. Which has got to be one of the most “welcome to 2016” statements i’ve ever made. Yes, this movie looks like a game sequel, and that is not an insult.
