David Lynch may have just caused nerdstolagia explosion with a slightly less cryptic announcement that Twin Peaks will return to TV in 2016. This official announcement comes just days after Lynch and Mark Frost both tweeted out the same phrase “Dear Twitter Friends: That gum you like is going to come back in style. #DamnGoodCoffee”
Now, we know that 2016 will see the return of the early 90’s hit, Twin Peaks. It will air on Showtime 25 years after its initial run. Not much else is known at this time, but Twin Peaks has been on the public conscious as of late, especially after the release of a definitive blu-ray, which included every episode and the prequel movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.
The new episodes are expected to air sometime in early 2016, which is more than enough time for us to speculate and freak out. Now, will someone please dance with me!
